ARMY T2 LABORATORY OVERVIEW

Science and technology (S&T) collaborations allow Army laboratories to leverage private research capital in the research, development, testing, and engineering of game-changing technologies in support of priority modernization efforts.

The commanders or directors of Army T2-designated laboratories have the responsibility and the authority to enter into T2 agreements and to license, assign, or waive rights to intellectual property developed by the organization.

Each Army T2-designated laboratory has an Office of Research and Technology Applications (ORTA). ORTAs are the essential focal point for collaborations between federal laboratories and external partners.
